We’ve partnered with Movesense, a world leader in wireless wearable sensors, to offer our customers another innovative research solution. The partnership brings together Labfront's no-code digital biomarker collection and analytics platform with Movesense's industry-leading wearable sensor technology, advancing physiological data collection for health researchers.

Easier Access to High-Resolution Motion and ECG Sensor Data

The integration of Labfront's platform with Movesense's wearable sensors will enable researchers to collect and analyze high-quality ECG, heart rate, heart rate variability, and human motion measurements without the need for SDKs or APIs.

Movement Measurement

Movesense sensors provide accelerometer, gyroscope, and magnetometer data to cover various use cases for tracking motion, including:

  • Daily activity (activity intensity, steps, etc.)
  • Activity recognition
  • Posture recognition
  • Joint angle measurement
  • Event detection
  • Gait analysis

Sensors can be attached wherever one wants to track movement. Ex: To measure gait, clip a sensor onto a shoe.

Heart Rate, ECG, and Heart Rate Variability (HRV)

High-resolution electrocardiogram (ECG) data is the gold standard for heart rate monitoring, especially useful if you are measuring during exercise.

Common use cases:

  • Detection of Atrial Fibrillation
  • HRV Analysis During Exercise

Expanded Options for Clinical Customers

As part of this partnership, Labfront will support two different Movesense ECG/IMU devices, both sporting high-resolution raw data streaming so researchers can use data unavailable from the majority of consumer wearables. Movesense Medical, the first MDR-certified chest strap ECG and heart rate monitor, is registered as a class IIa medical device accessory.

Its unobtrusive wear and simple use makes Movesense Medical especially suitable for remote monitoring and introduces a new price point for MDR-certified ECG devices that helps make clinical-grade ECG data more accessible to researchers.

We look forward to working with Movesense to enable the future of remote and hybrid research. One of the new devices being supported is Movesense Medical, a medical version of the popular IMU/ECG device. It's part of our commitment to provide our clinical customers more options as well. - Chris Peng, Labfront CEO

Advancing Physiological Data Collection for Health Researchers

The collaboration between Labfront and Movesense aims to benefit a wide range of researchers by streamlining the process for collecting and analyzing high-quality physiological data. The advanced IMU/ECG devices offered by Movesense, integrated with Labfront's no-code platform, opens up new possibilities for health researchers to conduct remote and hybrid research with ease and accuracy. The high-resolution raw data streaming capabilities of the Movesense devices provides researchers with access to data that is not typically available from consumer wearables, making it a valuable tool for cutting-edge research.

We're excited to partner with Labfront to make our devices more accessible to health researchers worldwide. Labfront's no-code solution makes utilizing Movesense's high-resolution IMU and ECG sensor data easier than ever. - Jussi Kaasinen, Movesense CEO

Getting Started

To get started using Movesense sensors with Labfront, simply create a Labfront account. We offer different plans, including a free plan for up to 5 participants, so researchers can test the platform before committing to a paid plan.

Once signed up, you can add participants to connect their Movesense devices to the Labfront platform and start collecting data. We also provide resources such as tutorials and technical support via the Help Center to help both researchers and participants use the platform and sensors effectively.
